Profilma 502STV: Ein Maschinenkonzept, zwei Anwendungen
Punching and sawing in a single setup — the Profilma 502STV consolidates two traditionally chained process steps into one machine pass. Customers save a machine, an additional setup, and the tolerance that normally accumulates between a punching machine and a saw.
One process instead of two chained steps
Series profile machining in aluminium typically means: punch the hole patterns first, then cut to length — or the other way round. Two machines, two setups, two reference systems. Every transfer adds tolerance and costs throughput.
The Profilma 502STV combines both operations. The profile is clamped once; punching tool and saw aggregate work from the same reference. The hole pattern aligns with the cut edge within the tolerance generated in that single setup — not in the sum of two separate machines.
Application 1: Multi-clamp punching of short profiles
Up to four profiles are clamped in parallel within the working area, a single punching stroke sets all hole patterns simultaneously, and the saw aggregate then trims to final length. For short parts, this multi-clamp setup multiplies throughput per hour — one setup produces four finished parts in a cycle time comparable to a single part before.
Application 2: Solar mounting hooks
Horizontal and vertical hole patterns on the same profile, set in the same clamping area, followed by the sawing cut. What conventionally requires two operations on two machines now runs in a single pass from magazine to finished part. Reference offset between the hole pattern planes is eliminated.
The lever: consolidation
One setup instead of two — no re-referencing on the datum edge
No tolerance accumulation between punching and sawing
No WIP buffer between two machines
One operator interface, one changeover, one energy and footprint signature
Target applications
Series aluminium profile parts: solar mounting systems, e-mobility brackets, facade and window components, furniture and interior fittings. Wherever hole pattern and length cut must align on the same part — and wherever volumes make consolidated machining economically viable.
