For an automotive Tier-1 manufacturer, Pressta-Eisele has developed and built a robot-guided stand-alone sawing line for aluminium structural components. In one continuous process, the line takes aluminium profiles from raw stock to the finished, mitre-cut structural part.
One line, the entire process
Profiles are fed automatically via a loading magazine. Cutting is handled by the Profilma 650 with a ⌀650 mm saw blade and 100 teeth; initial-cut and offcut separation is integrated directly into the machine frame, eliminating a separate operation. An outfeed conveyor with a retractable stop moves the parts to the robot-guided GS550-S mitre cutting station, where they are cut at 45°–90°–45°. An industrial robot handles part handling and positioning, the finished part is placed on the customer's conveyor.
