Return visit to Yixing: what comes after the extrusion press
At the annual meeting of the Shanghai Aluminium Trade Association in Yixing, Marc Borlinghaus showed where production after the extrusion press is heading. With our own booth and our own talk.
In October, a delegation of the Shanghai Aluminium Trade Association visited us in Bullay. From 5 to 7 November 2026 we returned the visit: at the association's annual meeting in Yixing, Jiangsu province, with our own booth and our own talk.
After the press: three directions
That was the message on our booth wall, and it was the topic of the talk by Marc Borlinghaus: what we see at our customers worldwide after the extrusion press. Three directions are emerging.
- High-end: from building profiles to automotive parts.
- Intelligent: from the single machine to the automated line that saws, deburrs and marks.
- Green: less scrap and a record for every part.
Marc showed this on two complete lines: one for ABS blocks and one for thin-walled battery cell housings from 0.3 mm wall thickness. Both are designed and built in Bullay.
A taste of the Moselle
At the gala dinner, Moselle Riesling with our label was on the tables. Wherever we travel, we bring a bit of the Moselle with us.
Next stop: ALUMINIUM CHINA 2027
In 2027 we will exhibit with our own booth at ALUMINIUM CHINA in Shanghai. Thank you to our colleagues at RSA China for organising the visit in Yixing.
