Double Mitre Saw – Precision Cutting with NC Length Positioning

This double mitre saw with one NC axis for length positioning is designed for precise, efficient, and flexible cutting operations. With pneumatic outward tilting of the saw blades, the machine is ideal for accurate mitre and straight cuts in demanding production environments.

Rigid Machine Bed for Stable Operation

The machine bed is built as a torsion - free welded steel construction and equipped with round guideways in the longitudinal direction. This robust design ensures smooth movement, high stability, and consistently precise cutting results.

Powerful Saw Units

Each saw unit is driven by a 2.2 kW motor (400 V/50 Hz) and achieves a cutting speed of 73 m/s. The saw feed is linear from back to front and hydropneumatically controlled, with a manually adjustable, infinitely variable feed rate.

The saw stroke length is manually adjustable and automatically controls the return stroke.

The saw blades can be pneumatically swiveled outward to preset angles of 90°, 45°, and 22.5°, with intermediate angles adjustable manually. The machine is supplied with two carbide circular saw blades Ø 500 × 30 mm, Z 120. Each saw unit features a chip extraction port Ø 80 mm and pneumatic safety guards.

Integrated Roller Conveyor

A 2.4 m roller conveyor, mounted on the right saw head and moving with it, ensures optimal material support. A horizontal clamping cylinder provides secure fixation of the profiles during cutting.

Accurate Length Positioning

The left saw unit is fixed to the machine base, while the right unit is motor - driven and movable.

Positioning accuracy: ± 0.15 mm

Maximum traverse speed: 22.5 m/min

The NC - controlled length positioning automatically takes saw angles and profile height into account, ensuring precise results even for complex cuts.

Automatic Profile Height Measurement

Profile height is measured automatically with longitudinal compensation, while the vertical clamp on the fixed head remains stationary – ensuring consistent accuracy across varying profile dimensions.

Reliable Clamping System

Each saw head is equipped with one horizontal and one vertical pneumatic clamping cylinder. In the event of a pressure drop, the horizontal clamps remain engaged, guaranteeing maximum process safety.

Optimized Material Support

A pneumatically swiveling material support is located between the saw heads, improving handling and stability during cutting operations.

Safe and Intuitive Operation

Operation is carried out via a two - hand control system. The profile is clamped by pressing one button; pressing the second button within 1.5 seconds initiates the cutting cycle. Releasing either button immediately retracts the saw blade, ensuring a high level of operator safety.

Modern Control and Software

The machine is controlled by a PLC with a 7” touchscreen. The integrated software supports a wide range of functions, including:

Single cuts and cut list processing

Creation of cut lists via keyboard

Import of cut lists via USB

Automatic corner angle calculation and incremental cutting

Overlength cuts

Short cuts from 5 mm cutting length

Trim cuts
