The SW 453 Reverse Garda double mitre saw is designed for maximum versatility and precision in profile cutting. Equipped with one NC axis for accurate length positioning and pneumatic tilting of the saw blades both outward and inward, the machine is ideally suited for complex mitre and angle cuts in modern production environments.
Robust Machine Bed for Long - Term Accuracy
The machine bed features a torsion - free welded steel construction with linear guideways in the longitudinal direction. This rigid design ensures smooth motion, high stability, and consistently precise cutting results even under continuous operation.
Powerful and Versatile Saw Units
Each saw unit is powered by a 2.2 kW motor (400 V/50 Hz) and achieves a cutting speed of 73 m/s. The saw feed is linear from back to front and hydropneumatically driven, with a manually adjustable, infinitely variable feed rate.
The saw stroke length is manually adjustable and automatically controls the return stroke.
The saw blades can be pneumatically swiveled outward to 45° and inward to 90° and 135°, against fixed stops. Intermediate angles can be set manually, offering maximum flexibility for complex cutting tasks.
The machine is supplied as standard with two carbide circular saw blades Ø 500 × 30 mm, Z 120. Each saw unit is equipped with a chip extraction port Ø 80 mm and pneumatic safety guards.
Moving Roller Conveyor for Secure Material Support
A 2.4 m moving roller conveyor, mounted on the right saw head, ensures optimal support and handling of long profiles. A horizontal clamping cylinder securely fixes the profile during the cutting process.
Precise NC Length Positioning
The left saw unit is fixed on the machine base, while the right unit is motor - driven and movable.

The NC length positioning automatically compensates for saw angles and profile height, ensuring high accuracy for both straight and mitre cuts.
Automatic Profile Height Measurement
Automatic profile height measurement with longitudinal compensation guarantees consistent cutting accuracy across varying profile dimensions.
Reliable Clamping System
Each saw head is equipped with one horizontal and one vertical pneumatic clamping cylinder. In the event of a pressure drop, the horizontal clamps remain engaged, ensuring maximum process safety.
Optimized Material Support
A pneumatically swiveling material support between the two saw heads improves stability and simplifies profile handling during cutting operations.
Safe and Ergonomic Two - Hand Operation
The machine is operated via a two - hand control system. The profile is clamped by pressing one button; pressing the second button within 1.5 seconds initiates the cutting cycle. Releasing either button immediately retracts the saw blade, ensuring maximum operator safety.
Modern Control System and Advanced Software
Control is handled by an industrial PC with Windows Embedded and a 10.0” HMI touchscreen. The powerful software includes:
